Easingwold and York area to benefit from funds to help cover 130 hours of Marie Curie nursing

Lee Mosby, Account Manager and Charity Ambassador for Easingwold based Whitkirk Waste Solutions Limited had the pleasure of presenting a daffodil cheque for £2,655 to Emma Williams, Fundraising Manager (Yorkshire) Marie Curie representing their fundraising total for the year.

Whitkirk staff chose Marie Curie as its Charity of the Year for 2018 with various fundraising events combined to raise this amazing amount.

Whitkirk employee Grace Grant, 22, raised £535 in May by taking part in her 3rd Tough Mudder event held at Belvoir Castle.  Donations from the company were also given as a percentage on their local septic tank emptying service in March, April and May this year. Additional funds were raised through a staff cake sale and raffle held at Whitkirk offices in Easingwold.

Emma, Fundraising Manager (Yorkshire) Marie Curie said “this amount is amazing and will help pay for over 130 hours of Marie Curie nursing in the area of Easingwold and York”.

Help for Heroes has been chosen by Whitkirk staff as their Charity of the Year 2019, so watch out for news on fundraising as it happens.
