There is no greater priority than health and safety

As a Company, our health and safety record is second to none. It demonstrates our commitment to continuous workforce training and our overall company culture.

Risk assessments and method statements are always prepared prior to commencement of any contracted work and our drivers are fully trained in the safe operation of their vehicles and equipment; all hold the appropriate licences which are checked every six months by our administration staff.

Our commitment to road safety is evident in our on-site 3-bay state-of-the-art HGV workshop.  Every vehicle, tank, trailer and piece of farm plant and machinery is serviced/inspected every 4 weeks by our Fleet Engineer.  Full use of technology is employed during the preparation, scheduling and execution of fleet maintenance.

Driver CPC Regulations

With the introduction of the new Driver CPC regulations the Bowring Group identified the need to have their own in-house qualified trainer at it's Driver Training School based in Warsop.

In-line with our internal training programme, all drivers receive scheduled CPC training at Warsop.   Our Transport Manager also performs regular refresher training with drivers and staff to ensure complete compliance to all driving regulations.

We use the Stoneridge (C) Tachograph / Digicard software system to record and analyse driving hours and working time in line with the EU Road Transport Working Time Directive.

Environmental compliance

Compliance with all the current and impending legislation and industry codes of practice is paramount. Our independent FACTS trained Agronomist deals with all our deployment and permitting administration for our recycling to land service. We are confident that our business operates within the top end of the market. Our Agromonist also advises the Environment Agency independently on environmental matters, so we are confident of best practise all at times.

Because our customers appreciate that it's vital we maintain an independent and fully audited system in this area, the external Agronomist handles all the land sampling, preparation of risk assessments, method statements and EA applications, Deployments and Permits.

By operating in a transparent and open manner in all areas of our business, utilising both in-house and an external resource of environmental consultants and regulatory advisors, we ensure that we are always ahead of the game where environmental or regulatory legislation is concerned.

A full audit trail is maintained for every load that we carry and we are fully registered with the Environment Agency, registration number YRI / 451415 / CB.

Our customers appreciate the peace of mind associated with doing business with a company that cares.
